The Planning Commission is a body created by borough council as established under the PA Muncipalities Planning Code (for information on the code click the following link to access Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code document. Section 209.1 outlines the duties of the commission.
Membership on the commission is open to all residents of Forest Hills. Typically membership positions are open March 1st and the borough advertises for volunteers to fill such positions as early as December of the previous year. Other vacancies are filled as openings occur and are advertised at the borough building and in the newspaper. Anyone interested in membership on the commission should contact the borough office or a current commission member for information.
