Recently volunteers from the Forest Hills Fire Department and Rescue 8 donated their time to the children of Christ Lutheran and St. Maurice schools for instruction on what to do in case of fire.  Both firemen and paramedics talked with the children about many things that the kids can do during a fire or other emergency.   Some of the techniques taught included crawling out of a smoky house, feeling doors for heat, and knowing the quickest way out in case of an emergency.  The "Fire Safety House" was also brought along to the schools and set up for tours, which is a mock house complete with living room, kitchen, bedroom and faux "smoke" used as a hands on teaching aid for the children to learn from.

Many "THANKS" to everyone who helped make this a big success!
