Employment 

The Borough of Forest Hills posts job vacancies, when available, at the borough hall. Full time and part time jobs are advertised in one or more of the following local newspapers:   Pittsburgh Post Gazette and/or Pittsburgh Tribune Review.  The borough may also post openings in other newspapers, journals or media as needed including posting on this website.  Seasonal employment or temporary part time employment is usually posted only in the borough's Tree City Times newsletter which can be accessed by clicking the link.   Availability of jobs may also be limited by contract or civil service requirements.

Job Application

Forest Hills only accepts applications and resumes for vacant positions.  Unless otherwise specified, the borough will not accept applications for a vacancy after the posted deadline date for applications.  Job applications are available for download (in PDF) by clicking the link here or from the borough office during business hours. Completed applications must be submitted to the borough office and are not accepted via e-mail at this time.  A resume, reference list and a letter of interest may be required in addition to the borough's application form (see the specific job posting for requirements).  

Summer Recreation Application

Those applying for summer 2012 jobs must complete the borough's job application above and attach the summer employment application which can be obtained by clicking SUMMER RECREATION JOB APPLICATION.  See the summer application for details.
 
All applicants must fill out the Recreation Department application, the borough application and a Background Check Form in order to be considered for any position with the borough. Please print out all three forms, fill out, sign and return to the borough building no later than December 31, 2011 (office closed on 12/31 but you may leave the completed forms in the drop box next to the pay phone outside the building).

Background Checks

Forest Hills council requires that all applicants for positions with the borough submit to a background check.  The borough's policy on background checks can be found by going to the COUNCIL POLICY PAGE
