COUNCIL BUSINESS MEETING HIGHLIGHTS FROM MAY 24, 2017

1- Police contract approved by council – this will result in a new full time officer to replace Sgt. Probola
2- New municipal building update as reported by Volpatt Construction – building is on budget and on schedule with floor to be poured and building construction to start in June
3- Council is contesting the suit brought by WHEMS that would require Forest Hills taxpayers to pay for all of the utilities and maintenance for the building that they claim ownership of- although WHEMS is an independent company with paid staff serving 5 communities they are demanding that ONLY the taxpayers of Forest Hills cough up tens of thousands of dollars for these expenses.
