COUNCIL BUSINESS MEETING HIGHLIGHTS FROM JUNE 21, 2017

Council hired a full-time police officer effective immediately. Jason Petri, who has worked as a part-time officer, has been promoted to full-time. Officer Petri will fall into the second tier contract recently agreed to by both Forest Hills Council and the Forest Hills Police Association this past April.

The company working on Ardmore Boulevard has been granted an exception to the noise ordinance and will be working overnight to complete extensive work. Council believes that this will expedite the project and eliminate the traffics jams in that area during the day.

Major repairs will be done to a sewer line near Kenmore Avenue costing approximately $150,000. The street will be repaved in the construction area following repairs. This money comes from the sewer fee of which costs have already been allocated in the budget.
